Alice Prizes

The Centre for Quantum Technologies launched the Alice Prizes in 2025, during the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, to support women researchers working in the field. You can read about the inaugural recipients here. We invite new applications for both the Alice Postdoctoral Fellowship and Alice Internships.

Alice Postdoctoral Fellowship

Awarded to women researchers who are doing outstanding research.

Offers competitive remuneration for two years and a personal research allowance.

Recipients will give a named talk in CQT during their tenure.

Prospective Alice Fellows should first approach the research group they wish to join or, if they are a current CQT researcher, speak to their group leader.

CQT group leaders are responsible for nominating candidates for the Alice Postdoctoral Fellowship.

Nominations are open until 31 December 2025.

Alice Internships

Awarded to women interns with an excellent academic record.

Prospective Alice Interns should first approach the research group they wish to join.

CQT group leaders are responsible for nominating candidates for the Alice Internship.

Up to four Alice Internships will be awarded each year.
