Governor General of Canada cites CQT-IQC collaboration in speech

Address to NUS highlights the two institute’s commitment to work together on quantum research.

His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, the representative in Canada of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, referred to the Memorandum of Understanding between CQT and the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) at the University of Waterloo in Canada in a speech on 21 November.

H.E. Johnston (pictured) was speaking at NUS on "The Diplomacy of Knowledge: Education and Globalisation in the 21st Century" during his first state visit to Asia as Governor General of Canada. He said that universities, colleges and research institutes can lead the way towards greater cooperation and dialogue between nations. He cited the agreement between CQT and IQC, which allows for shared use of resources and increased cooperation between students, postdocs and faculty, as a great example of collaboration.
